Charles-Albert-Edouard HAGER

(Franckfort, 1857 - Bruxelles, 1940)

Animal sculptor, Hager was a prolific artist who devoted himself exclusively to the animal theme. He worked by observing nature, realizing works of dramatic realism. Many of his works are not dated, which requires a particular analysis of the evolution of his style. He regularly attended the Triennial Salons of Brussels and the Universal Exhibition of 1910. He is the author of many sculptures of wild animals in bronze but even of horses.
